Job Overview

A law firm is seeking an experienced Transactional Real Estate Associate to join its team in Baltimore, MD. This position requires expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate contracts and documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, title opinions, and financing agreements. The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients on real estate matters such as due diligence, zoning, environmental, financing, and tax issues.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate contracts and documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, title opinions, financing agreements, and closing statements.

  • Advise clients on a variety of real estate matters, including due diligence, zoning, environmental issues, financing, and tax implications.

  • Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure that real estate transactions are executed efficiently and in compliance with legal requirements.

  • Assist in managing complex real estate transactions from inception through closing.

  • Provide expert legal advice on transactional issues, including risk management and dispute prevention.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in transactional real estate law, with a focus on drafting and negotiating real estate contracts.

  • Strong knowledge of real estate matters, including due diligence, zoning, environmental, financing, and tax issues.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Maryland State Bar or ability to obtain licensure in Maryland.
