Job Overview:
A respected law firm is currently seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Hamilton, NJ office. This role focuses on community association and construction litigation, offering a balance of transactional and litigation work. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior attorneys while managing independent responsibilities across various legal matters. Location:

  • Hamilton, New Jersey

Duties:

  • Assist attorneys in the Community Association and Construction Litigation groups

  • Handle all phases of litigation, including:

    • Drafting pleadings and motions

    • Conducting written discovery

    • Taking and defending depositions

    • Arguing oral motions

    • Participating in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings

  • Provide legal counsel on corporate governance matters including by-law amendments, contracts, legal opinions, and rule creation

  • Represent clients at community association meetings

  • Attend trade association events, conferences, and other networking opportunities

  • Offer timely updates and reports on case statuses and assignments

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of litigation experience, Community Association experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent judgment and the ability to work under pressure with a calm, professional demeanor

  • Interest in handling both litigation and transactional matters

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in New Jersey (Required)

  • Admission in Pennsylvania is a plus
