Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated and experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law and a passion for advocating on behalf of TPAs, carriers, and employers. This role involves providing expert legal counsel, representing clients in claims, and ensuring they receive entitled compensation and benefits. The position offers a hybrid work environment with reasonable billing requirements.

Duties

• Represent clients in workers' compensation claims, including filing petitions and negotiating settlements.
• Manage all aspects of cases from consultation to resolution, including evidence gathering and document preparation.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve fair settlements.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with laws.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and the claims process.
• Prepare and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediation sessions, and court proceedings.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and address concerns.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license with the California State Bar.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in workers' compensation law or a related field.
• Certification in workers' compensation law or related specialties is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and case management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a standard office environment and travel as needed.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license with the California State Bar.
