Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing Denver office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex commercial litigation with at least five years of experience in case management, including discovery, depositions, motion drafting, and court proceedings. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee complex commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct written discovery, take and defend depositions, and draft motions.
  • Participate in court proceedings and assist in trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and provide support on legal matters.
  • Handle day-to-day case management tasks and communicate progress to clients.
  • Assist with strategy development for cases and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Strong case management experience, including written discovery, depositions, and motions.
  • Excellent academic record and professional credentials.
  • Ability to participate in court proceedings and trial preparation.
  • Admission to practice law in Colorado or willingness to sit for the Bar or qualify for admission.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and legal writing skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Colorado Bar or eligibility to sit for the Bar exam in Colorado.

Skills:

  • Expertise in complex commercial litigation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and document management skills.
  • Proficiency in managing cases from start to finish.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and handle high-pressure situations.
