Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney to join its expanding personal injury practice in Decatur, GA. This role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated attorney to excel in a collaborative environment, focusing on performance-based success without the burden of traditional HR and facility management responsibilities.

Duties

  • Represent personal injury clients throughout the litigation process, including trials and settlements.
  • Oversee case handling from initiation to resolution.
  • Mentor litigation paralegals and case managers while managing a full caseload.
  • Supervise litigation paralegals within the team structure.
  • Collaborate with and direct overseas employees.
  • Track hours spent on each project.

Requirements

  • Membership in The State Bar of Georgia; additional bar memberships are advantageous.
  • Minimum of five personal injury jury trials as 1st or 2nd chair.
  • Experience in bench trials, appellate work, motions, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; a writing sample is required.
  • Proficiency in research, drafting, and negotiating.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (JD, LLM, or JSD).

Certifications

  • Membership in The State Bar of Georgia.
