Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in White Plains, NY is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team. This position offers a hybrid work environment and an opportunity to engage in both litigation and transactional matters related to public infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of legal experience, a strong background in legal research, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Duties:

  • Conduct thorough and detailed legal research using resources like Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents including memoranda, briefs, ordinances, and regulations.
  • Analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal materials to support various legal matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal developments at the municipal, state, and federal levels that impact infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in preparing articles and marketing materials related to municipal infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients on diverse legal issues, providing clear, actionable legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, or New York.
  • 3-5 years of legal experience, ideally in municipal law, public infrastructure, or related fields.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives in both independent and team-oriented environments.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in one of the following states: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, or New York.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal writing and drafting capabilities.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
