A law firm seeks an Estate Planning and Elder Law Associate Attorney in Lake Success, NY. Experience with Estate and Medicaid Planning and Guardianship is preferred.

Duties

• Counsel clients on asset protection and estate tax planning strategies.
• Advise clients on estate administration.
• Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and living wills.
• Appear in court for estate proceedings.
• Supervise paralegals.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• 5+ years of experience in relevant fields.
• Familiarity with various legal documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build rapport with clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
