Duties:

  • Handle real estate litigation cases, particularly involving landlord-tenant matters

  • Conduct client interviews, gather intake information, and process pleadings

  • Manage trial preparation, including pre-trial discovery

  • Represent clients in Housing Court and Supreme Court

  • Assist in managing last-minute projects to ensure readiness for trial

  • Collaborate with the litigation team to strategize case approaches

  • Ensure compliance with New York’s regulated housing laws

  • Provide regular updates to clients on case status and developments

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in real estate litigation, particularly in Housing Court and Supreme Court

  • Solid understanding of New York’s regulated housing laws

  • Strong trial experience and pre-trial discovery skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle a caseload effectively

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent communication and client interaction skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the New York State Bar and in good standing
