Job Title: Attorney

Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join their team as a Counsel specializing in administrative agency charges. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely while providing high-quality legal services to clients. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in employment law, with a particular focus on defending administrative charges at both federal and state levels. The role includes representing clients through investigations, drafting position statements, and engaging in settlement negotiations.

Duties:

  • Defend administrative agency charges from investigation through resolution.
  • Draft detailed position statements in response to agency requests.
  • Manage responses to agency inquiries and represent clients during hearings and mediations.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in administrative proceedings.
  • Work in a reduced billable hours environment with no obligation for business development or travel.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and administrative agencies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in employment law, with expertise in defending administrative charges.
  • Proven experience drafting position statements and representing clients in hearings or mediations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Active Bar license in the state of residence.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of residence.

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state administrative agency charges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Negotiation and mediation skills, particularly in administrative settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
