A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Governance Associate Attorney to join its Wilmington, Delaware office. The role involves handling corporate governance and appraisal matters, primarily within the Delaware Court of Chancery and other courts across the country. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic and challenging legal environment.

Duties

  • Conduct research and draft documents related to key litigation issues.
  • Perform privilege reviews, determine applicability, and prepare privilege logs.
  • Undertake factual research to support litigation cases.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including document requests, interrogatories, requests for admission, and deposition notices.
  • Assist with deposition preparation, attend depositions, and analyze transcripts for relevant information.
  • Participate in trial preparation, mediation, and settlement activities.
  • Draft complaints, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate governance and related legal matters (Class of 2018-2020).
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law, with preference for admission to the Delaware Bar or eligibility to practice in Delaware.

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and document review.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with a focus on project management.
