Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate specializing in Employee Benefits for its Pittsburgh, PA office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in employee benefits law and ERISA, particularly with qualified retirement plans.

Duties

• Advise on benefit structures and tax qualification requirements.
• Counsel on fiduciary duties and plan funding rules.
• Draft and review qualified retirement plan documents.
• Provide guidance on plan corrections and administration.
• Negotiate and monitor plan service provider agreements.

Requirements

• Minimum seven years of experience in employee benefits law.
• Experience with multiemployer, multiple employer, and 403(b) plans preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and client relations skills.
• Excellent communication and writing abilities.
• Substantial research experience.

Education

• Juris Doctorate degree required.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, or Washington, DC.
