Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience to join the Electrical & Computer Technologies group in New York, New York. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and inventors throughout the patent process.

Duties

  • Work closely with clients and inventors at all stages of the patent process.
  • Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications in the United States and abroad.
  • Conduct freedom-to-operate, infringement, and patentability analyses.
  • Assist in other responsibilities or projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Graduated with a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admitted to the USPTO.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.

Education

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to the USPTO.
