Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with two to five years of experience to join its Technology Transactions team in San Francisco, CA. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned advisors, supporting both established and innovative companies in developing their IP strategies and facilitating essential agreements.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate collaboration, partnering, licensing, and other commercial agreements for companies at various stages of their life cycle.
  • Provide expert guidance on product strategy, development, and market positioning for technology companies.
  • Assist in navigating IP and technology aspects of complex M&A transactions and venture capital financings.
  • Conduct research and analysis on diverse technologies, including AI, fintech, autonomous vehicles, edtech, renewable energy, AR/VR, cybersecurity, biotechnology, and digital health.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of legal experience in IP and technology transactions.
  • Strong interest in technology transactions for M&A matters and emerging company/venture capital clients.
  • Excellent research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • JD is required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the state bar of the office in which the candidate would be located.
