Job Overview

A regional law firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to join its litigation team. This full-time position provides a unique opportunity for early-career attorneys to gain meaningful courtroom experience, manage client relationships, and develop litigation skills in a fast-paced, specialized practice area. Location

Duties

  • Conduct legal research and analyze state-specific workers' compensation statutes and regulations

  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements

  • Attend and participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and medical experts to gather case-related information and advise on legal matters

  • Collaborate with supervising attorneys on case strategies and litigation planning

  • Manage and maintain organized and up-to-date case files

  • Stay informed on changes and trends in workers’ compensation and administrative law

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Expected or current admission to the Bar in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, or New Jersey

  • Demonstrated interest in litigation and workers’ compensation law

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities

  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills

  • Commitment to ethical practice and client service

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, or New Jersey (or pending admission)
