Senior Corporate Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Ocean, New Jersey is seeking a highly experienced Senior Corporate Attorney to join its team. This full-time position is ideal for a legal professional with deep expertise in corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, transactions, intellectual property, and compliance. The role offers leadership opportunities, including the supervision of junior attorneys and strategic involvement in client counseling and risk mitigation. An existing book of business is considered a plus, though not required.

Location:

• Ocean, New Jersey

Duties:

• Advise clients on complex corporate legal matters including transactions, regulatory compliance, and mergers and acquisitions

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, business agreements, and legal documents

• Develop legal strategies, procedures, and internal policies for corporate clients

• Conduct legal research and assess potential legal risks

• Represent clients in proceedings, negotiations, and strategic meetings

• Provide intellectual property counsel as part of broader business transactions

• Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with junior attorneys and legal staff

• Support client relationship development and firm growth initiatives

Requirements:

• 10–15 years of experience practicing corporate law

• Proven experience managing corporate matters independently and in a team setting

• Prior experience supervising junior attorneys or legal teams

• Demonstrated ability to advise business clients across a wide range of industries

• Existing book of business is preferred but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of New Jersey

Skills:

• Deep knowledge of corporate, transactional, and regulatory legal frameworks

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal analysis skills
