Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with expertise in privacy and cybersecurity for its New York office. The ideal candidate will have experience counseling technology, life sciences, and emerging technology companies, including those in AI.

Duties

• Provide sophisticated privacy counseling to clients in various industries.
• Draft privacy and data governance agreements and policies.
• Negotiate data processing addenda and complex technology transactions.
• Conduct privacy due diligence for corporate transactions.
• Engage in privacy or AI regulatory inquiries or investigations.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of federal and state privacy and AI laws and regulations.
• Experience with FTC Act, COPPA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA, WMHMDA, BIPA, and emerging AI regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications
