A San Jose-based law firm is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Entry-Level Litigation Associate to support its growing consumer collections practice. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a newly licensed attorney to gain hands-on litigation experience, including courtroom appearances, regulatory compliance work, and legal drafting across multiple jurisdictions in California. Duties:

• Handle legal matters related to debt collection across various stages of litigation

• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery

• Appear in court for motion hearings, case management conferences, and trials

• Engage in client communication and ensure regulatory compliance

• Analyze case files and advise clients on legal strategy

• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff on active dockets

• Participate in ongoing training and development under senior legal supervision

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of California

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Eagerness to learn civil procedure and courtroom practice

• Capacity to work independently while adhering to firm protocols and deadlines

• Open to in-person work setting during standard business hours

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• California State Bar admission is required
