Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.

  • Enhance and maintain client relationships.

  • Engage in ongoing study of healthcare law and trends.
  • Meet billable and non-billable hour requirements.
  • Develop effective presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Office and PDF applications.
  • Quickly learn e-discovery processes.
  • Prepare appellate briefs and deposition summaries.
  • Maintain professional demeanor with clients and colleagues.
  • Participate in healthcare law sections of bar associations.
  • Attend relevant firm and practice group meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years in litigation or civil litigation.
  • Experience with Indiana Medical Malpractice Act preferred.
  • Exhibit honesty, integrity, and leadership qualities.
  • Effectively leverage support team.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent writing and legal drafting skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout Indiana as needed.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to state bar association and in good standing.
