A law firm in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a highly skilled Professional Licensing Defense Attorney to represent clients in various healthcare fields. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of licensing laws and regulations, a strong litigation background, and a proven track record of successfully defending professionals in administrative and disciplinary proceedings.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, disciplinary proceedings, and appeals related to professional licensing issues.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive defense strategies tailored to each client's unique situation.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on licensing laws and regulations changes.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Provide expert advice and counsel to clients regarding compliance with licensing requirements and regulations.
  • Negotiate settlements and alternative resolutions with licensing boards and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure high-quality legal representation.
  • Maintain detailed case records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Preferably a licensed healthcare provider.
  • Active license to practice law in Indiana.
  • 5+ years of experience in professional licensing defense or related legal field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of administrative law and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record of successful case outcomes in licensing defense.
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience representing clients in healthcare, legal, real estate, or other regulated industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with state and federal licensing boards and regulatory agencies desired.
  • Experience in negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions ideal.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Indiana.
