Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Real Estate Counsel to join its Real Estate Investment and Finance practice in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate transactions, including equity side deals, and demonstrate strong academic and professional credentials.

Duties

• Assist clients in buying and selling properties.
• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements.
• Prepare net and ground leasing agreements.
• Collaborate on joint venture transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of real estate experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
• Admitted to the Illinois bar or eligible to waive in.
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
• Client-team focused approach.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in Illinois.

Skills

• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating real estate agreements.
• Experience with joint ventures is a plus.
