Job Overview:
A growing law firm specializing in property tax litigation is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Pittsburgh office. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in a highly specialized area of law while receiving mentorship from experienced practitioners. Ideal candidates will be eager to take on litigation responsibilities, work directly with clients, and travel across Pennsylvania for hearings and court appearances.

Location:

  • Pittsburgh, PA

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, pleadings, and briefs

  • Handle a volume-based litigation caseload with a focus on property tax matters

  • Represent clients in administrative hearings and court appearances throughout Pennsylvania’s 67 counties

  • Draft and respond to discovery and prepare evidentiary presentations

  • Attend firm meetings, training sessions, and industry conferences (both in-person and virtual)

  • Collaborate with colleagues and firm leadership on case strategy and legal issues

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and in good standing

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of litigation experience

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the state

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines across multiple cases

  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong public speaking and courtroom presentation abilities

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and client-focused service

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting tools; comfortable using legal tech
