Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel land use attorney with two to ten years of experience in land use or Oregon regulatory matters to join its team in Portland, Oregon. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with potential for fully remote options.

Duties

  • Handle land use applications, including comprehensive plan amendments and rezones.
  • Manage conditional use permits and site plan review applications.
  • Conduct subdivisions, shoreline permits, and LUBA appeals.
  • Engage in Oregon regulatory matters, including permitting and contested case hearings.
  • Challenge administrative rules and participate in legislative rulemakings.

Requirements

  • Membership in the Oregon State Bar.
  • Experience with permitting in Portland, Metro area, Oregon coast, or Oregon Parks and Recreation Department preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Oregon State Bar membership.
