A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney in Mineola, New York. Duties

• Analyze insurance policies and provide detailed coverage opinions.
• Represent insurers in coverage litigation and declaratory judgment actions.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, motions, and appellate briefs.
• Advise clients on complex coverage matters including general liability, professional liability, excess/umbrella, and property claims.
• Conduct depositions, attend court appearances, and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Manage all aspects of assigned cases with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• 9 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on insurance coverage.
• Demonstrated experience in both coverage litigation and opinion writing.
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York.
• Prior experience with a law firm or in-house insurance legal department preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership with the New York State Bar.
