Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Premises Liability Attorney to join their litigation team in Dallas, TX. The successful candidate will have experience representing plaintiffs in premises liability matters and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The attorney will manage cases from intake through trial, collaborating with investigators, experts, and the litigation team to maximize client recoveries.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of premises liability claims from inception through resolution.
  • Investigate facts of liability, including property owner duties and hazard identification.
  • Collaborate with accident reconstruction and safety experts.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement demands.
  • Negotiate with defense counsel and insurance carriers for favorable settlements.
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions of parties and witnesses.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including exhibit lists and trial briefs.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy.
  • Stay current on Texas premises liability law and property safety standards.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in Texas.
  • 3-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury and premises liability cases.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong investigative skills and ability to work with technical evidence.
  • Comfortable in settlement negotiations and trial advocacy.
  • Commitment to client service and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Bonus: Prior trial verdict experience in Texas and familiarity with premises liability statutes.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in Texas.
