Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Business Litigation and Bankruptcy Associate in Kansas City, MO. This hybrid office/work-from-home position is ideal for an experienced attorney with a passion for creditor rights and a knack for navigating complex legal landscapes. The successful candidate will have over three years of experience and hold licenses in both Missouri and Kansas.

Duties

• Manage replevin actions to recover personal property, including drafting and filing petitions and obtaining judgments.
• Prepare and prosecute suits on promissory notes and guaranties to secure judgments.
• Order and review Title Reports and provide client advice.
• Manage judicial and non-judicial foreclosure actions, including drafting petitions and coordinating sales.
• Maintain strong client relationships, offering high-quality legal advice and regular updates.
• Oversee all open matters to ensure progress toward successful conclusions.

Requirements

• Over three years of experience in bankruptcy and creditor rights.
• Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Missouri and Kansas.
