Surety and Construction Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation associate with over two years of experience to join its Fidelity Surety and Coverage team in Beaumont, TX. This role involves assisting the surety and construction team with litigation in state and federal courts, counseling, dispute resolution, and contract drafting and negotiation. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar and may work from any Texas location.

Duties

• Assist in litigation for surety and construction matters in state and federal courts.
• Provide counseling and dispute resolution services.
• Draft and negotiate construction contracts and related documents.
• Collaborate with attorneys, team members, consultants, and clients.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Practical or legal knowledge of the construction industry preferred.
• Experience with construction disputes and mechanics' liens preferred.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials required.

Certifications

• Texas Bar license required.
