Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate or Counsel with public company experience to join their Executive Compensation Practice in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in executive compensation and employee benefits matters, including public company disclosures and M&A transactions.

Duties

  • Manage executive compensation and employee benefits matters.
  • Handle public company executive compensation disclosures.
  • Oversee employee benefits aspects of M&A and private equity transactions.
  • Develop and manage tax-qualified and nonqualified retirement plans.
  • Draft executive employment and severance arrangements.
  • Create equity and non-equity incentive plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Significant client contact and responsibility for handling matters.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing complex legal matters.
