Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Partner to join their team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have over 10+ years of experience with a strong background in real estate litigation, particularly in the D.C. and Maryland Courts. They must possess 1st chair trial experience and a sophisticated understanding of Maryland and District of Columbia real estate law.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in real estate litigation matters in D.C. and Maryland Courts.
  • Serve as lead counsel in trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings related to real estate disputes.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients on complex real estate matters.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare briefs and pleadings.
  • Manage client relationships, including communication, case updates, and addressing client concerns.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to achieve client objectives and firm goals.

Requirements:

  • Over 10+ years of legal experience, with a focus on real estate litigation.
  • Extensive experience practicing in D.C. and Maryland Courts.
  • Proven track record of success in handling real estate litigation matters.
  • Strong client management skills and ability to generate new clients.
  • Excellent academic record from a reputable law school.
  • District of Columbia Bar membership is mandatory.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • District of Columbia Bar membership.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Maryland and District of Columbia real estate law.
  • Exceptional analytical and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
