Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney with four years of practice in general family law matters. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of family-related legal issues, including divorce, child custody, support, alimony, and marital agreements. This role is suited for a confident advocate capable of handling sensitive cases with discretion, empathy, and professionalism. Location: Jacksonville, Florida.

Duties

  • Represent clients in all aspects of family law cases including divorce, custody, support, and property division.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, agreements, and settlement proposals.
  • Conduct legal research and advise clients on rights, responsibilities, and legal options.
  • Handle discovery, depositions, and court appearances independently.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients.
  • Manage case files and deadlines effectively.

Requirements

  • Four years of experience practicing family law.
  • Proven courtroom and litigation experience in family law matters.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience handling complex emotional and financial family cases.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload independently.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida (in good standing).
