Washington, D.C. office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a mid-to-senior pipeline safety attorney with 4+ years of experience. The candidate will help operators of gas and petroleum product pipelines and LNG facilities apply complex and often technical regulations to real-life circumstances, with the goal of ensuring regulatory compliance and the continued safety of facilities. Also, help clients prepare for inspections and audits and resolve and often enforcement actions in order to ensure due process and achieve fair and safe outcomes. Work alongside in-house attorneys, the clients engineering and operations staff, and senior management. Interact with federal and state regulators. Experience with federal or state pipeline safety regulations and issues is essential.

The candidate should have strong legal research skills that reflect an appreciation for the patience to understand detail and nuance. Must have strong writing skills that reflect the ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts in a plain, understandable way. Should have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with an existing, collegial team of attorneys.
