Job Overview:
A growing and client-focused immigration law firm in Duluth, Georgia is seeking a Bilingual Immigration Attorney to support its expanding practice. This role offers the opportunity to represent clients in a wide array of immigration matters and contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven legal team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English and bring experience handling USCIS filings, removal defense, and court appearances.

Location:

  • Duluth, Georgia

Duties:

  • Represent clients in immigration proceedings, including removal defense and USCIS interviews

  • Handle a range of immigration cases such as asylum, SIJS, work permits, and family-based petitions

  • Prepare legal documents including motions, briefs, and petitions

  • Attend immigration court appearances and client interviews

  • Advise clients on immigration procedures and requirements

  • Collaborate with legal staff and use case management software for documentation and communication

  • Maintain regular client contact and provide bilingual (English/Spanish) legal support

  • Participate in firm meetings and contribute to legal strategy development

Requirements:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (Required)

  • 1 year of experience in immigration law preferred

  • Experience with immigration court appearances strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with USCIS, removals, asylum, SIJS, and other immigration procedures

  • Basic knowledge of criminal law and uncontested divorce matters is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client cases

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia (Required)

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and drafting capabilities

  • Effective oral and written advocacy in both English and Spanish

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Familiarity with legal practice tools such as LollyLaw, Filevine, and Slack

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and case management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication with clients and colleagues
