Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Wilmington, DE office. The firm is experiencing rapid growth and is looking for ambitious attorneys to join its insurance defense team. Duties

  • Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct thorough legal research.
  • Develop and present defense strategies independently.
  • Prepare pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and briefs.
  • Provide timely legal advice and services to clients and claims personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with the court, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage the efficient disposition of assigned cases.
  • Prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials and hearings.

Requirements

  • J.D. and admission to the Delaware bar (admission in NJ, WV, or PA is a plus).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in insurance defense or a related field.
  • Litigation experience, including depositions and motion practice.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent work ethic.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Delaware bar.
