Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their team in Lakewood, Colorado. The ideal candidate will lead the litigation department, handling cases from inception to resolution, and collaborate with the leadership team to enhance litigation processes.

Duties

  • Lead high-value personal injury cases through litigation to resolution, including trials and mediations.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to achieve optimal client outcomes.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and staff, sharing litigation expertise.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Argue motions in court and represent clients in legal proceedings.
  • Stay informed on relevant statutes to provide sound legal counsel.
  • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing personal injury cases, trials, and mediations.
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing with the State Bar.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree
  • J.D. degree

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado
