Duties

  • Handle tax planning and compliance for trusts and estates.
  • Provide guidance on charitable planning, business succession, and asset protection.
  • Represent clients in probate court and other legal proceedings.
  • Stay informed on changes in estate and tax laws.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors for comprehensive solutions.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
  • 5-10 years of experience in trust and estate law.
  • Preferred accounting and/or tax experience or education.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
