Duties

  • Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation defense matters

  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and court proceedings

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and settlement documents

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and claims adjusters

  • Handle all aspects of case management from inception to resolution

  • Attend mandatory settlement conferences and trials

  • Maintain compliance with all legal and procedural deadlines

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in California workers' compensation defense

  • Experience working with self-insured employers and public entities preferred

  • Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic caseload

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

  • Active and in-good-standing license to practice law in California

Skills

  • Proficient in case management and legal strategy development
