Surety and Construction Litigation Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation associate with over three years of experience to join its surety and construction team in Frisco, TX. This fully remote role involves some travel and requires candidates to be licensed and local to Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Mississippi, Oklahoma, or Texas.

Duties

• Assist in litigation in state and federal courts.
• Engage in counseling and dispute resolution.
• Draft and negotiate contracts.
• Collaborate with attorneys, team members, consultants, and clients.

Requirements

• Active TX license or UBE eligibility.
• Experience with construction disputes and mechanics' liens preferred.
• Superb written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in one of the specified states.

Skills

• Practical or legal knowledge of the construction industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
