Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Real Estate Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Real Estate Practice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The candidate will handle significant responsibilities within a dynamic team, engaging in a variety of transactions. Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility for admission is required. The firm is open to considering candidates from outside Florida.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate documents for acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development.
  • Conduct and manage due diligence, including title and survey review.
  • Assist in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing.
  • Communicate efficiently and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
  • Support partners and senior attorneys on complex matters while managing day-to-day responsibilities independently.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience, preferably at a regional or national law firm.
  • Must be admitted and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent academic credentials and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proven willingness to accept significant responsibility.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Florida Bar.

Skills

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage a challenging workload independently.
