Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A Dallas-based law firm specializing in construction and commercial matters is seeking a mid-level litigation associate with 2 to 6 years of post-JD experience. The role involves hands-on litigation work across construction-related disputes and contract law matters, including depositions, discovery, drafting, and client engagement. Ideal candidates will be driven professionals with an eye for detail and a demonstrated ability to handle complex legal challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Support lead attorneys on construction and commercial litigation cases

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence for court and client use

  • Conduct and defend depositions across a range of matters

  • Prepare discovery responses and manage discovery processes

  • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitration sessions, and trials

  • Perform legal research and provide analysis for strategic litigation planning

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external parties to move cases forward

  • Maintain high standards of responsiveness and precision for client matters

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in construction or business disputes

  • Strong command of litigation practices, including motion drafting, deposition work, and discovery

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters with minimal supervision

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Texas Bar

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal writing and research abilities

  • Strong communication skills—both oral and written

  • High level of organizational efficiency and attention to detail
