Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Irvine, CA, is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate to support its growing portfolio of business, real estate, and intellectual property litigation matters. The ideal candidate will bring 2–4 years of experience navigating California civil litigation and demonstrate an eagerness to expand into new legal areas, including IP and transactional work. This role offers exposure to diverse commercial disputes and opportunities for professional development in a collaborative legal environment.

Duties:

  • Handle a range of commercial, real estate, and business litigation matters under supervision or independently, depending on experience

  • Assist with intellectual property litigation, including patents and trademarks, in federal and state courts

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses

  • Participate in case strategy development, client meetings, and court appearances

  • Collaborate on transactional matters, including reviewing and drafting contracts and corporate governance documents

  • Monitor and manage litigation deadlines, court filings, and procedural requirements

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of litigation experience in California courts (state and/or federal)

  • Familiarity with civil procedure and litigation best practices

  • Willingness to expand into intellectual property and/or transactional legal work

  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple matters concurrently

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California

Skills:

  • Proficient in drafting complex legal documents

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Excellent verbal communication and client-facing skills

  • Adaptability to take on new practice areas or subject matter

  • Technological fluency with litigation management tools and document platforms
