Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its employee rights litigation team. The firm specializes in representing employees in various employment disputes, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases. The attorney will handle complex litigation involving both individual and group employment discrimination cases, working primarily in federal courts against large U.S. railroads. Duties:

• Litigate both individual and group employment discrimination cases in federal courts.

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.

• Conduct legal research and write legal memoranda.

• Maintain direct communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Represent clients in trials and settlement negotiations.

• Handle discovery and expert witness collaboration.

• Participate in mediation and settlement conferences.

• Assist in developing new cases and conducting pre-suit investigations.

• Develop relationships within the plaintiffs’ bar and federal agencies.

• Speak at conferences, CLEs, and panel discussions.

• Supervise paralegals, assistants, interns, and clerks.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

• Admission to the Minnesota Bar or eligibility for admission within six months.

• Litigation experience

• Strong commitment to plaintiffs’ side litigation.

• Motivated, collaborative, and diligent with the ability to work independently.

• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.

• Exceptional oral communication and advocacy skills.

• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet strict deadlines.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the MN Bar or eligibility for admission within six months of hire.

Skills:

• Strong litigation and courtroom experience.

• Expertise in legal research and writing.

• Proficiency in deposition taking and defending.

• Ability to develop and manage client relationships.

• Experience with federal litigation and employment law issues.
