Attorney, Labor and Energy

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an Attorney in Sacramento, California, to support a labor and energy-focused practice. This role involves representing labor organizations and related stakeholders in regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters across a range of public interest areas.

Duties:

• Advise clients on labor, energy, and regulatory matters
• Represent clients in negotiations and before administrative and regulatory agencies
• Appear before legislative bodies, municipalities, and courts
• Handle matters related to public works, prevailing wage compliance, and apprenticeship programs
• Support contract negotiations and workforce development initiatives
• Conduct legal research and develop advocacy strategies
• Collaborate with technical experts on complex issues involving emerging technologies and environmental concerns

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of legal experience
• Experience in at least one relevant area, such as labor law, energy, public contracting, or regulatory matters
• Ability to manage legal matters and provide effective representation
• Willingness to travel as required
• Commitment to public interest and labor-related advocacy

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in California
