Job Overview:
A mid-sized general practice law firm is seeking a Litigation and Bankruptcy Attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a background in both litigation and bankruptcy matters, with a preference for those who have completed a judicial clerkship. This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to work on diverse legal matters in a collaborative and professional environment. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential for success in this position.

Location:

  • Baltimore, Maryland

Duties:

  • Represent clients in litigation and bankruptcy proceedings

  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents

  • Conduct legal research and prepare written memoranda

  • Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials

  • Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with supervising attorneys

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts effectively

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience in litigation and bankruptcy law

  • Judicial clerkship experience strongly preferred

  • Admission to the Maryland Bar (required)

  • Admission in DC and/or Virginia is beneficial

  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Maryland

  • Additional admission in DC and/or Virginia preferred

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing ability

  • Strong oral advocacy and analytical thinking skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities

  • Ability to work independently and within a legal team

  • Professional demeanor and commitment to client service
