Insurance Coverage Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney with expertise in interpreting insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, and litigating coverage matters. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in general liability, professional liability (E&O), directors and officers, employment practices liability, and cyber insurance policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interpret insurance policies and provide coverage opinions to clients.
• Draft coverage position letters, coverage analysis memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Handle litigation involving coverage disputes in federal and state courts.
• Represent insurance carriers in arbitrations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Conduct legal research on insurance coverage issues and prepare legal briefs.
• Advise clients on insurance coverage matters and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with clients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to strategize case approaches.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage matters, including advice and litigation.
• Strong background in general liability and professional lines insurance.
• Superior academic credentials with a proven track record of success.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
