Duties:

• Conduct legal research to stay current on changes in family law statutes and evolving case precedents.
• Attend and advocate at court hearings, mediation sessions, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Provide clients with clear legal advice, ensuring they understand their options at every stage of the process.
• Collaborate with paralegals, administrative staff, and other attorneys to ensure smooth and efficient case management.
• Develop case strategies aligned with each client’s goals, while adapting to changes as cases progress.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing family law litigation.
• Proven ability to handle multiple active cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to strategize creatively in complex or contentious matters.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain legal issues to clients in clear, accessible language.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active law license in Maryland, in good standing.
