Construction Associate

Job Overview:

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Construction Associate to join its team in Cincinnati. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on a range of construction-related matters, including both transactional work and dispute resolution. The successful candidate will bring at least two years of relevant experience and demonstrate a strong command of construction law, contract negotiation, and litigation procedures. A collaborative mindset and strong academic credentials are essential.

Location:

• Cincinnati, Ohio

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate construction contracts and related agreements

• Represent clients in construction disputes including mediation, arbitration, and litigation

• Prepare and file lien documents and other legal instruments

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and other litigation materials

• Assist in managing and resolving complex construction law issues on behalf of clients

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction law (transactional and/or litigation)

• Experience in contract drafting, negotiations, dispute resolution, and lien documentation

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio

• Licensure in Kentucky is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Ohio Bar membership

• Kentucky Bar admission (preferred but not required)

• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
