Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney to join its team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role involves managing the Alabama Division, focusing on mortgage lenders and servicers, banks, and mortgage investors. The attorney will oversee legal and operational aspects of the judicial foreclosure process, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.

Duties

  • Attend mediations, trials, and hearings.
  • Ensure compliance with CFPB and OCC regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments for operational and legal compliance.
  • Travel as needed for business purposes.
  • Write articles and make presentations to clients and trade associations.
  • Participate in marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in Alabama; licenses in Georgia and Tennessee preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years of litigation and courtroom experience.
  • Experience in default management, including foreclosure and bankruptcy.
  • Member of the state Bar with maintained licensing and education requirements.
  • Experience managing employees and P&L responsibility.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Alabama.
