Job Title: Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm based in Albany, GA is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented attorney to join its Insurance Defense Litigation team. This role is ideal for a driven legal professional with hands-on litigation experience who thrives in a collaborative and performance-focused environment. The position offers a blend of in-office engagement and potential for hybrid flexibility, once foundational integration is complete.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload involving insurance defense matters from inception through resolution

  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations

  • Conduct and defend depositions

  • Draft complex legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings

  • Engage in legal research and case analysis

  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel

  • Support senior attorneys and collaborate with litigation teams to develop case strategies

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience

  • Active license to practice law in Georgia (required)

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage aspects of litigation

  • Familiarity with courtroom procedures and civil litigation processes

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Georgia State Bar

Skills:
