Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced litigation Senior Associate or Partner for their Medical Malpractice group in Bedminster, NJ. The candidate will work a hybrid schedule and should possess extensive courtroom experience, expertise in managing high-stakes litigation, and the ability to provide strategic counsel to a diverse clientele.

Duties

  • Lead the defense of complex medical malpractice cases from inception through trial and appeal.
  • Conduct case evaluations, develop litigation strategy, and advise clients on risk assessment and potential exposure.
  • Draft and argue dispositive motions, prepare trial briefs, and oversee discovery, including expert witness preparation.
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Stay current on changes in healthcare law.
  • Travel for court, client meetings, etc.
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior associates.
  • Work a hybrid schedule from the Bedminster, NJ office.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of defense litigation experience, preferably in Medical Malpractice and/or General Liability.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active and good standing NJ bar license required; PA license a plus.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Expertise in defense litigation.
  • Experience reviewing complex medical records, expert testimony, and scientific evidence.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Prior experience representing hospitals, physicians, insurance companies, or healthcare systems preferred.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active NJ bar license; PA license a plus.
