Job Overview

A progressive law firm in downtown Miami, Florida, is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney with 5–7 years of experience in family law, probate, and guardianship. This role involves managing all aspects of family law litigation, from initial filings to case closure, while providing empathetic and professional support to clients during challenging times.

Location

  • Miami, Florida

Duties

  • Prepare and review legal documents such as:
    • Petitions for Dissolution of Marriage.
    • Paternity and support motions.
    • Marital settlement agreements and prenuptial agreements.
  • Handle case management tasks, including:
    • Discovery requests and review.
    • Depositions and trial preparation.
    • Mediation and client strategy sessions.
  • Collaborate with experts and other team members to develop case strategies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and team members.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience practicing in family law, probate, and guardianship.
  • Courtroom experience and ability to manage complex caseloads.
  • Confidence in client interactions and ability to convey empathy during stressful situations.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to delivering quality work with a focus on efficiency and excellence.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and in good standing.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal database systems.
  • Strong client management and inbound sales experience.
