Job Overview:
A law firm in Miami, FL is actively seeking a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney to join their growing team. This position offers an opportunity to manage a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and property division. The ideal candidate should have a passion for helping clients navigate difficult personal transitions while delivering strong legal representation.

Duties:

  • Develop customized legal strategies for clients involving divorce, prenuptial agreements, child custody, alimony, child support, and other family law matters.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, both in court and through virtual platforms when necessary.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court orders for a significant caseload.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior partners, paralegals, and other team members to ensure the smooth progression of cases.
  • Advocate for clients in highly emotional and high-stress situations, providing both legal guidance and empathy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience handling family law cases, including litigation and courtroom experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex family law cases with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated strength in negotiation and communication, particularly in high-conflict areas such as custody and domestic violence.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging legal situations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Florida.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and client empathy.
  • Effective negotiation and dispute resolution techniques.
